Does Palin think she’s god?
I know I’m off in tin-foil hat land, but I was just listening to a bit of Palin’s acceptance speech that someone told me about that really has me scared. In her closing she said:
“And I thank you, and I god bless you I say, and god bless America. Thank you.”
The official transcript has this:
“And I thank you, and I — God bless you, I say, and God bless America. Thank you.”
I think my punctuation is more accurate to how she spoke. You can see the speech here around the 8 minute mark. Normally I’d say she just stumbled over her words, but she delivered that line confidently, much more so than other parts of the speech where she messed up.
Now take that line with this quote take from here:
In a letter she e-mailed to relatives and close friends Friday after giving birth, Palin wrote, “Many people will express sympathy, but you don’t want or need that, because Trig will be a joy. You will have to trust me on this.” She wrote it in the voice of and signed it as “Trig’s Creator, Your Heavenly Father.”
She sent out an email to her friends and family and signed it “god”. When you also look at her church’s connections to the Dominionists and Joel’s Army, things get down right scary.
Does Sarah Palin think she’s god? Does she think god speaks through her?
I am fucking terrified.
